John Hodgson
Kentucky State Representative
District 36 Eastern Jefferson Co.
Our American self-government started with this statement in 1776:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"
Faith, Family, & Freedom are best protected by a Constitutionally limited government and legislators who are committed to holding the line against government encroachment on our God-given rights. Other government functions need to be effective and tax-efficient, but protecting our rights as free citizens is paramount!
I will always stand on these principles with you, while seeking efficient, responsive government policy and economic development for Kentucky taxpayers.[

Policy Positions
Constitutional liberty: We must protect Faith, Family, and Freedom, including especially protecting life, free speech, freedom of religion, right of self-defense, and protection from government encroachment on those God-given rights and state’s rights. Government needs to be smaller and more local.
Fiscal responsibility: Government needs to be as small as practical, and efficient with taxpayer dollars. Taxation should be low, and based on consumption, not production.
Economic development: Government regulation should be reduced significantly, and pro-business and pro-growth policies supported by the legislature.
Empowerment: Individuals, churches, small businesses, and local agriculture must be freed from excess regulation and allowed to flourish and renew Kentucky’s economy and social organizations
